Justin Lott is a partner and co-founder of Appia Capital Partners. Prior to Appia, Justin was a member the PERA investment team at Barings, a ~$350 billion asset manager. In this capacity he served on the boards of several portfolio companies and managed all aspects of the investment process for institutional investors with a focus on water, transportation, agriculture and related infrastructure, and waste. Justin shifted his focus to private equity and real assets in 2014, joining Barings' predecessor firm Wood Creek. Prior to Wood Creek, Justin was a Vice President of Portfolio Management at BlackRock in New York City where he began his career in 2004. Justin’s BlackRock experiences were professionally foundational and ranged from fixed income analytics to corporate bond trading to management of long-only and long/short credit and multi-sector portfolios in excess of $70 billion AUM. Justin earned his B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in Finance and Management.
